António Bóia was born in Bragança in 1970, and at the age of 16 he began his career as a cook in Paris. Between 1990 and 1996, he worked as a cook in Paris and Lisbon, in the restaurant Alcântara Café and in the Hotel Lapa Palace. He was deputy head of the Hotel Meridien in Lisbon, and in 2002 he became the deputy chief executive at the Hotel Ritz.
Since 1992, he has bet on his work with the Olympic teams. He began by being part of the junior team, a possibility that arose after having won the Toque d'Or competition in Portugal.
In 2017 he became the Executive Chef of Jncquoi where is working until now.
