Chef Christian Bauer has been in the restaurant business for almost 20 years. His first restaurant, Frangipani opened in 2001, and instantly became one of Kuala Lumpur’s top dining venues. Coming from Luxembourg, this self-taught chef has been leading the Kuala Lumpur dining scene ever since. Today he heads some of Kuala Lumpur’s best restaurants and bars including Cantaloupe, Strato, Fuego, Claret and Coppersmith all under the "Troika Sky Dining” umbrella and are situated on the 24th floor of the Troika Building with glorious views over the KLCC park and the Kuala Lumpur Skyline.
Some of his latest concepts are Mr Chew’s Chino Latino Bar, with its fun tagline “Eat Chino! Live Latino!”, serves delicious Modern Asian cuisine and cocktails in the penthouse of the WOLO Hotel; and Brasserie Fritz which serves yummy classic French fare, is currently looking for a new home, but will be appearing as a pop-up in March at Troika Sky Dining.
Chef Christian Bauer has also hosted 7 episodes of "Cooking with the crown" which was aired on CNA and continues to enjoy cooking, especially at home.
