Pullman Danang Beach Resort has named Norfolk Islander Adam Roberts as the resort’s new executive chef. Prior to coming to the Danang beach property, Roberts was the executive chef at Sofitel Fiji for three years, where he and the team successfully moved V fine dining restaurants from number 16 to number 1 ranking at Denarau Island on TripAdvisor.
As the hotel’s new executive chef, Roberts will oversee operations at Restaurant Epice – the Asian dining outlet; Azure – stylish beach lounge and in the hotel’s two bars, Infinity Bar and the newly revamped, Pool Bar.
Adam began his career on Norfolk Island as an apprentice chef, then moving on to the Bayfield Hotels group in Sydney. In 2006 Roberts started his career with Accor hotels at the Sofitel Melbourne. Since then Adam has held many Executive chef position within Accor throughout Australia and overseas.
Originally from Norfolk Island, Roberts has worked in some of the most luxurious kitchens in Australia and Pacific region, he is more than happy to bring culinary experience to the dynamic property in Danang. “I am very excited to take on this new role and continuing my journey in Vietnam. Pullman Danang is well-known for its succulent cuisine and high standards of food and service which is also my challenge to take it to new heights.” said Adam.
He said his favorite way to eat is tapas style of food (sharing) and Vietnam offers him many choices of tropical treasures. “Especially, I am really impressed by the amazing fresh seafood and amount of different varieties in Vietnam, this land is definitely spoilt for choice with ingredients” said Roberts.
