Soon after opening his restaurant “Nostromo” Zlatko Marinovic starts participating in culinary contest around the world. He was elected to lead Croatian culinary team of chefs at IKA Culinary Olympics in Germany and Luxembourg. He won the award for best Croatian chef in 2005 by Croatian culinary association and silver medal on Mediterranean culinary contest in 2006. He is also an Accredited B level Judge of at the WACS (World Association of Chefs Societies).
In 2006 he published his first cookbook named Nostromov odabir ( Nostromo’s selection) which is a collection of recipes, his memories and thoughts about forgotten Croatian recipes, flavors, tradition, and importance of respecting those.
