Chef Julien Laffargue is the Executive Chef at Ricarda’s Toronto where he leads his brigade of chefs in the crafting of a world class modern Southern European menu. With an emphasis on elegant flavors and sophisticated techniques, Chef Laffargue is more than equipped to oversee the brand’s culinary innovation.
A native of France, Chef Laffargue got his start working in the kitchen of his uncle’s inn. Since then, the chef has accumulated a long list of professional training and experience at the highest levels of the international cooking industry. This has included cooking for the former French President, Jacques Chirac, professional training under the inventor of the sous-vide cooking technique, as well as being a part of teams that have received the highest level of industry recognition in the world, three stars from the Michelin Guide (not to mention the Prix Culinaire Le Taittinger, World Travel Luxury Awards, Forbes magazine’s Best Hotels in the World, and more!).
Before joining Ricarda’s in 2017 Chef Laffargue opened up various Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, in exotic locations like Bora Bora and Sharm El Sheikh. Ricarda’s considers itself lucky to have the chef’s well-traveled and prolific experience and is proud to have Chef Laffargue as the leader of its culinary brigade!
